Traveling is one of my great pleasures. Whether it is to a new destination or a favorite spot I always find something remarkable to pass on to friends about my visit. The subject of amazing restaurants is always a popular topic when discussing future plans because seeking out new places to eat is part of the pleasure of traveling. But the other pleasure point is discovering places rarely mentioned. If you are planning a vacation to the city by the bay, don’t forget to pack sweaters and scarves—It can get very cold in the place where Tony Bennet left his heart, especially in the summer!
We hope you enjoyed strolling the city with us. Our plan is to feature a travel video with a few styling tips every now and again so let us know where you would like to go and maybe we can go together.
Eat well, laugh a lot and travel chic!
If you find yourself running late and unable to pull an outfit together in a pinch read on. Here are some tips to make pulling yourself together a lot easier.
Mornings can be harried. The alarm goes off at 6:30 am but you convince yourself you can relax for another 5 minutes before getting out of bed. The next thing you know one eye opens and the clock reads 7:00 am. Yikes! You have barely 35 minutes to get ready. Already in panic mode while in the shower you review your wardrobe in your head and hastily wash your face
Thank god you set the coffee maker on auto last night! Still dripping water from the shower you grab a cup of coffee but, dang, you’re out of milk! Fifteen minutes after you bolted out of bed you find yourself standing in front of your closet wrapped in a wet towel. Now wired from the sheer stress of oversleeping and unhappy about drinking your coffee black (sigh) you stare into the black hole of your closet. You have nothing got wear!
Your scenario might be a little different. However, we have all found ourselves running late and standing in front of our closet thinking, “I have nothing to wear!”
If you cannot pull an outfit together in a pinch your closet is most likely not organized properly. But even the most organized of closets may not be prepared for a last minute emergency. That is because we set up our closets according to categories; all blouses here, all pants over there, coats in the hall closet—you get the idea. There is nothing wrong with this approach to organizing but unless you have mastered the art of dressing with your eyes closed you will run into trouble. What you really need is an on demand wardrobe.
An on demand wardrobe does not require spending money. It requires a good look at your wardrobe. Here are a few tips to get you started.
~Have a section in your closet or a hook on a door where you place a few complete outfits, top, bottom, jacket and scarf.
~Take a picture of a few complete ensembles on your phone to have ready in the event you are running late.
~Wether it is for work, a party or travel pull your outfit the night before.
