Bathing suit shopping is never greeted with the same enthusiasm as grabbing a cocktail with a friend. Why? It’s complicated. Notwithstanding our personal opinion of our prevailing physical state, the dreaded dressing room experience is maddening. Bad lighting, sizing issues, and the current trends in bathing suits can leave us in a funk. Shopping for new shoes, no problem. However, shopping for a bathing suit requires a vacation emergency, as in you haven’t shopped for one in years and you are on your way to the Caribbean.
Shopping for bathing suits is still a matter of wading through barely-there styles that have you rolling your eyes before you find the lackluster selection of one-piece bathing suits that mostly look as though the designer just gave up. But there is good news for anyone who is in the market for new beachwear. There are some brands that carry styles that are flattering. Some suits even feature details like extra support just like in your body shapers.
Mara Hoffman’s swimwear collection offers stunning style and easy-to-wear suits this season. There are other features in Mara’s collection that are noteworthy. All of her bathing suits are made from fabric which has sun protection of UPF 50 and her pieces are meant to mix and match. The last feature is something all designer should embrace as it addresses fitting issues. In addition to all of this, she has created an entire line of wonderful resort pieces made exclusively for your summer sojourn. Here are a few of my favorites but it you have the time you should have a look at her collection for yourself!
